Volunteer Scheduler Pro (VSP) Beta introduces a helpful feature that allows administrators to gather additional information from volunteers right at the point of signup. These signup questions can be configured within the Schedule Settings under the Preferences tab.

What Are Signup Questions?

Signup Questions are custom fields that appear when a volunteer offers to fill a position on the schedule. These questions help you collect specific information from volunteers—anything from T-shirt size to meal preferences, or emergency contact details. 

Customization Options

You can create multiple custom questions, each with a different answer format:

  • Text – Volunteers provide a short written response.

  • Dropdown (Single Answer) – Volunteers choose one answer from a list.

  • Checkbox (Multiple Answers) – Volunteers can select multiple options.

You can also allow each question to be optional or require an answer. 

These options allow you to tailor your form to suit the needs of your event or ministry.

 

How It Works

Once a volunteer submits their form:

  • Admins receive an email that includes all of the volunteer’s responses to the signup questions.

  • Responses are available in the Reporting pane, where you can export the answers for some or all volunteers in the schedule.
