Understanding View-Only Administrators

Follow

If you are the Owner of your organization's Volunteer Scheduler Pro license, you can create a new view-only administrator at any time by going to the Administrators pane. (Note: only Owners can access this pane.)

All versions of VSP come with an unlimited number of view-only administrators. To create a new read-only administrator, follow the steps below:

  1. Go to the Administrators pane and click on the "+" button in the upper right corner.
  2. In the "New administrator" pop-up, enter a name, email, and (optionally) a cell number for the new admin. If desired, you can also limit the opportunities that are managed by a given administrator by editing the "Managed opportunities" field. Check "View-only administrator" to specify that this is the type of admin you wish to create:

(If you wish to create a standard administrator instead, do not check this option.)
  3. Click "Continue" to specify the permissions that this view-only administrator will have. View-only administrators can be set up to be able to:
    - view volunteers and volunteer profiles,
    - view emails and text messages that have been sent,
    - view and export reports, and
    - manage your VSP subscription and billing
  4. Click "Save" to finish creating the administrator.

View-only administrators are not able to send emails or make changes to your organization's database, including volunteer profiles and schedules. The only information a view-only admin can potentially change is the information in the Subscription pane, if they have been given the "Can manage plan and billing" permission.

Owners can edit an existing view-only administrator's general information and permissions at any time by clicking the "Edit" button next to their name:
